Our instructor programme has been updated and improved for the launch of our new membership site this year! However, BalletBeFit is a well-established and successful company that has been helping women to become instructors and build their own successful businesses since 2015.
To become a BalletBeFit Instructor, we ask that you have knowledge and experience of up to Grade 5 ballet. If you don’t have this experience but have the passion to dance and teach, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us anyway and we’ll see what we can do.
As soon as you sign up to become an instructor you will be approached by your mentor, who will be there to offer you guidance and support throughout the whole training process. Your mentor will remain available to you even after you have completed your training should you need anything.
There are assignments and quizzes for you to complete throughout the course which will either be automatically graded or submitted to be assessed by your mentor. At the end of the programme there are some final exam style questions to be answered, and we ask that you submit a video of yourself as if you were teaching a class. This can be with a small group of people or even by yourself.
You can hold your classes in local gyms, studios, village halls etc. there is information in the programme and from your mentor to help you find and approach suitable venues.
Yes. We get enquiries daily from people wanting to attend classes. We have a big following on both Facebook and Instagram and will happily promote your classes on our pages and within our groups.
Yes, you will need public liability insurance. Your mentor can help you with this, but it is approximately £100 a year.
The style of this programme means that you can work at your own pace and fit it in around other commitments. The course takes approximately one month whilst studying around your work and family commitments, however, it is possible to complete the course within a couple of weeks if you put your mind to it.
There is no monthly membership fee for instructors and we take no commission from your classes. However, for a small monthly fee you have the opportunity to sign up to our Inner Circle members group for access to online exclusive materials and extra support from our founder Rachel Withers.
Rachel Withers the founder of BalletBeFit is best known as a thriving FITpreneur from the UK. As a former dancer who trained with the Royal Ballet, she is no stranger to the world of dance. She decided to channel her love of dance and knowledge of ballet to create fun and challenging group fitness classes for any level.
When you have completed the programme and passed your final assessment, you will become a certified BalletBeFit Instructor and we are happy for you to begin teaching your classes. Our instructor programme is also recognised by CPD and CIMPSA. To find out more, take a look at our accreditations page.
