Ballet is a great way to strengthen all of your muscles, from the small intrinsic ones in the feet and ankles right up through the back and glutes. There are various exercises that can be done while following classical technique which involves rising onto toes or ball-of-the foot position; turning out the leg at the hip socket then extending it high into front/side positions as well!
