As one of the UK’s leading ballet instructors and a world class ballet dancer, Rachel Withers is passionate about her art and committed to sharing it with others. She received her formal ballet training at the Dorothy Stevens School of Dance as well as the Louise Browne Yorkshire Scholarships Centre. Rachel went on to train at the Royal Ballet School and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. She has performed at the Royal Opera House and Covent Garden and has choreographed for theatre groups across the UK. She has been a driving force of the dance and theatre industry ever since. Even while taking a break from ballet to focus on her new family, this former expert ballet dancer’s name was still synonymous with the arts.

While raising her family, Rachel felt a longing inside of her that only dance could fulfil. Life and motherhood had taken its toll on her body and her form so she decided to immerse herself in a fitness routine that would recondition her body and bring out the dancer inside. Realising that typical fitness routines didn’t compare to the rigorous workouts expert ballet dancers endured, she created what would soon become one of the largest and most effective dance-based fitness programmes.

Aptly named BalletBeFit, this new ballet inspired fitness routine became wildly popular and has helped thousands of women become more fit, more confident and more inspired to achieve their goals. BalletBeFit was the only fitness programme to feature a ballet certified instructor in the UK. Now, with franchise opportunities all over the world, Rachel Withers’ BalletBeFit is set to become as big a name in the fitness industry as she is in the ballet world.
